There’s few things in life that are nicer than coming home from a walk in the winter, kicking off your wellies, and snuggling up on the sofa in your duvet with a great big mug of hot chocolate. It’s even nicer when that comforting hot chocolate is packed full of healthy ingredients that are so good for your body. We love this rich tasting, but low fat, hot chocolate drink, made with oat milk, topped with vegan whipped soy cream, or a spoonful of whipped coconut cream, coconut syrup and some raw chocolate shavings for a truly decadent, but healthy, drink.

Ingredients:
- 250 ml (1 cup) of oat milk
- 1 large Tbsp of raw cacao powder
- 1-2 tsp of coconut sugar (adjust to your taste if you like it sweeter)
- ½ tsp vanilla bean paste (OR extract)
- Pinch of cinnamon
Optional toppings:
- ‘Whiptop’ Vegan Whipped Cream (I found it in Sainsbury’s)
- Coconut Syrup
- Raw chocolate shavings
Instructions:
- Heat the oat milk, cacao, vanilla and cinnamon on a low-medium heat, and stir until the cacao is well combined, and the mixture is warm, but not boiling hot.
- Keep stirring the mixture, and add the coconut sugar. Heat for a further 1-2 minutes.
- Top with vegan whipped soy cream, or a spoonful of whipped coconut cream, coconut syrup and some raw chocolate shavings for a truly decadent drink.
