UK-based gourmet sausage brand HECK has introduced a new range of four vegan and gluten-free sausages. These will join the brand’s current range of vegan and vegetarian options.
Promising ‘flavour you can swear by’, the new sausages are made from whole foods like rice, pulses, sweet potato, quinoa and beetroot. They are 100% plant-based and come in four varieties: Super Green Saus, The Beet Goes On, Sweet Fusion Sausages and Bollywood Bangers.
The Super Green Sausages are made up of quinoa, spinach, ginger and cale. They go beautifully with salad and are a great source of protein and fibre.
The Beet Goes On Sausages are made from beetroot, horseradish, carrot, sunflower seeds and broccoli slaw. They are naturally rich in potassium and folate, and contain antioxidants to help you stay healthy.
The Sweet Fusion Sausages are made with thai pesto, sweet potato and rice, giving you all the flavours and components of a great stir fry.
The Bollywood Bangers are vegan, gluten-free, low in fat, saturated fat and sugar and high in protein and fibre. They contain cauliflower, green lentils, pulses and seeds, spiced up with chilli, cumin, turmeric and ginger.
All four new sausages are now available at Asda and Morrisons stores across the UK, as well as on HECK’s official website (www.heckfood.co.uk).
